Dexter Johnson ProTools Seminar

Odyssey Sound Lab (and ProTools certified) engineer, Dexter Johnson conducted a ProTools Seminar for the Co-Op Saturday, January 27th for an enthusiastic gathering of experienced, as well as newbie Co-Op members. This was the first in what we hope will be many seminars to come. Up next will be Mr. Chris (Chris Alexander) and a seminar this Saturday February 3rd, 1:PM on Self Promotion, Self Production and Self Development...until then, behave your self!!

Art Co-Op Meets at Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op/ Shreveport!!

Another piece of history...

We know that the Cooper Building housed "Red Goose Shoes" & "Dan Cohen Shoes" in 1931, the Army Recruiting Offices in in the mid '60s and currently is the home of Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op/Shreveport, but this tidbit of information was passed on from Odette Smith who has been the office manager this last year for Christian Service. It seems that the Cooper Building space was donated to be used by Sister Margaret McCaffrey & Christian Service in 1974 and became their main offices for the next 12 years. In a little twist of irony, this year's Sister Margaret McCaffrey Award is being presented to Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op/Shreveport's Manager, Dan Garner (that would be me writing in 3rd person) much to his amazement and chagrin.

FULL HOUSE....

For the last several days Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op/Shreveport's work stations have been filled to capacity. That's why we're planning on adding a couple of new stations, soon!! Stay tuned....

Taking the work stations by storm are Co-Op members, Chris James, Bryan Freeman & Magic Alex, Hung Le.
